The historical furniture works of William Burges have influenced many of the Victorian dining chairs in Cumbrian antique dealer showrooms. The Bedford Museum has recently acquired one of the artist's most famous pieces, the Zodiac Settle, for 850,000 pounds.

This will be added to their extensive collection of Burges' painted Arts & Crafts furniture, including a washstand, bed and doors from one of his flamboyant antique cabinets. Burges' elaborate Gothic Revival furniture pieces are masterpieces of the Aesthetic Movement. His work can be also be found in the Morris Gallery at Walthamstow Museum, and in Cardiff Castle, Castle Coch and Knighthayes Court. His home, the Tower House in London, is also a masterpiece of his work but it is privately owned by Jimmy Page, the ex-lead guitarist of Led Zeppelin.

Athens furniture store has been found guilty; as many clients have complained against them over the furniture they ordered but never received from them. The Chief Investigator Stanley Mc Natt said that "New cases will be presented in front of Limestone County grand jury, which will decide if there is enough evidence against Scott Connell, owner of the Limestone Furniture Mart.
Connell, 36, has been found guilty of five counts of first-degree and one count of second-degree thefts in connection with these incidents. Some clients complained that they ordered the furniture even before December 2010 and didn't receive it. The customers who claim to have been cheated have also filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau of North Alabama, a company that mentioned this furniture store as a certified BBB member.

An elderly couple who reside in Pennsylvania were both European immigrants to the US many years ago. Wallis and Laszlo eventually moved to Pittsburgh with their two daughters, and there they were joined by Wallis' mother Edith, who brought with her a trove of European treasures. Those historical furniture items decorate their home in West Philadelphia today, filling it with European grandeur.

Wallis has created a space with beauty and character. Two pale blue sofas, one a 19th century Biedermeier, and the other a period cousin with mahogany trim, center the room, with open armchairs upholstered in blue velvet arranged around them. The room is filled with objets d'art, from cloisonne vases to a French empire-style desk and an ormolu chest of drawers. In the formal dining room, a large gilt mirror and silver tea service are dazzling highlights, as is a lovely cabinet with glass doors that houses European antique crystal.
